Dittisham

It was a lovely evening last night so I rushed home and got myself up to a lovely village - Dittisham. Only a few miles out of Dartmouth and on the edge of the River Dart. Its a gorgeous place with The Ham offering an area to walk dogs, picnic and spend time watching the river (plus we have been known to have a game of rounders there on the odd occassion!). A nice little walk through the village brings you to a great cafe called The Anchorstone. You can sit an enjoy crab, lobster, oysters along with the local Sharpham wine whilst enjoying the great views - alternatively next door is a pub - The Ferry Boat Inn - where you can grab a beer and sit on the pontoon outside watching the boats go by and children crabbing (almost an olympic sport here!). I love the tranquility and quietness and as you can see the river is an amazing view!
